i took the plunge and finally seriously tried raw sashimi.
sushi kikuzawa. i must say the experience is unique. to be honest i still cannot get used to the raw feeling of fish. salmon was ok but tuna was awkward. there’s just something about raw tuna that i cannot accept.
but seriously the raw fish were fresh enough for me to feel ok.
unagi sushi is love. the feeling is eating it is pure happiness. the unagi sorta melts in your mouth and as you bite. the slightly flavored rice tastes sweeter each bite. everything blends together with perfect harmony.
no regret even though the damage was 50 bucks. i dun mind going down again to test my courage LOL.
finished watching kanon. i must say it’s really pretty good. i can’t really compare it to clannad because it’s on a different basis. clannad is not as heavy as kanon i’d say. kanon is all sweet and happy but u know something is wrong. and the wrong things gets more wrong and escalates to climax.
clannad is like…… slping on a cooling rainy day with blanket tucked it. of course fuko’s arc was my favorite (which was similar to ayu/makoto’s in some sense). it’s comfy to watch even though the story is pretty laidback.
and yes! i didnt cry for kanon at all! i think it must be the standard yh set for me. u know it’s like for e.g ppl keep telling u how nice 300 the movie is, in the end you expect too much and you feel that it’s not as impactful? i think it’s the same. or maybe even though it’s pretty touching, it’s not that realistic for me to really feel the connection.
it’s like in proposal daisakusen i really felt the connection to my heart that’s why i teared esp at later eps. there was no life-death situation etc etc but something just speaks to your heart. i guess no matter how touching fantasy stuff may be, it cant touch me that deep without the sense of realism.
anyhow, for people who want to watch clannad or kanon (well i know only a handful of people reads my blog), kanon is for the more adventurous and clannad is for the more relaxing viewers.
