Koizora

a mini review.

as i’ve read from desmond’s blog, this movie indeed takes its own sweet time to tell u the story and its development.

compared to leap years, i wouldnt say koizora is draggy. leap years is draggy cos it’s pretty repetitive and it’s pretty straight forward.

the movie itself wasn’t as touching as i imagined. maybe after watching dramas like sekachu and 1lot, my treshold has gotten much higher. i wasn’t particularly impressed by anyone’s acting but it’s pretty ok.
no particular scene was extremely memorable etc etc etc.

sounds like a bad movie huh? not really. in fact i like it more than leap years. what i like most about the movie, is the title. think this title has a very deep connection to this story. it’s like watching to the end of the movie u will realise why the title is koizora.

my personal interpretation of this title… it should be sky of love. it should be more literal. koi and sora.
love, sky. it’s like mika’s (the main girl) expression of love for hiro (the guy). so i think sky of love kinda blands the connection to the movie.

if i hadnt watch sekachu movie and drama, i MIGHT have cried? not sure. but well there wasnt any urge to cry at all and i wasnt controlling at all since i’m watching it all alone in my room. it was just a constant tinge of blueness

on another note, i think yui aragaki looks pretty common when she dun smile. but pretty cute when she smiles. she got a very sweet gf-ish feel and probably would be v nice to chat on phone lol. but that’s about it?

so yes. i still love sekai no chuushin de ai wo sakebu AKA crying out love in the centre of the world.

as usual i’m doing shou shui to like um… give blessing to my parents? haha
and yes only i succeed till now. i dun think my sisters have succeeded in shou shui before.
it means staying awake till sunrise. well that’s kinda my forte isnt it.
but yea i’m just gonna change this life style.

i’ll chew my food more, drink my water in smaller sips, do exercise, eat more veggies.
enjoy the taste of real good food. not just swallow them. our teeth exist for a purpose and i’ll utilise it from now on!

i’ll also stay positive about myself, my body and my mind! be grateful of the things i possess and cherish them.
then i dun need to believe, i know my health will improve!

it’s always good to smile even if you’re alone because you should be happy for yourself too! being able to live is a good thing.

so anyway, i was watching a old movie starred by ha ji won.
well she’s a supporting actress in the show. hey, it’s freaking 8 yrs ago!
cmon there’s enough proof she didnt go for plastic surgery. i so love her hahahahaha. i’m getting really really crazy over her.

anyway, the movie is called ditto.
about a guy from yr 2000 being able to communicate with a girl from 1979 using an amateur radio.
as the story progress, it unfolds a sad romance.

it’s not overly tragic or drastically sad. but even after watching, as i’m blogging. feeling a lil melancholic from it.
i like the ost! all piano pieces. i’m quite a sucker for piano pieces.

anyway, i hope everyone will have a good year. so will i!
that includes you. have a good year ahead. i’m sure you will =]

i watched the 1st 30 minutes and i could not take it. forwarded forwarded to the end.

1) it hardly talk about jin yi’s art
2) no/weak soundtrack, i’m almost falling aslp with plain dialogs only.
3) i TOTALLY prefer ha ji won over song hye kyo. hjw is totally suitable for this role while i have reservations for shk.
4) i prefer how courtesans look in the drama version much more than the movie one.
5) must be my prejudice towards drama over the movie but it start is so god damn boring that i almost fall alsp.
6) the story made less sense to me. jin i found out she’s actually daughter of slave when she has been living as a nobleman’s daughter for all her life, resenting the world and she became a courtesan. (she chose to be courtesan over slave cos she angry that this world is like this) yada yada yada. all in all, the reasons and driving force for her to become a courtesan is very weak.

sorry. but yes the drama to me is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better than the movie.
ha ji won totally shook my heart. about SHK… er well. dun really like her, just normal to me.
so i believe, after reading the comments, it’s just a sappy tragic love story for the movie version.
