How long has it been….. Almost three months.

So 3 months ago I was underage and now I’m 21.
Shall try to type in proper caps while I remember.

So what have I done in this 3 months that I can actually talk about?

1) Posted under Registry/Visualisation team in a MINDEF department.
Let’s see… There was a huge event right at the moment I came into the dept.
To make things short. It was extremely busy and tiring. MANY overnights. But hey one thing nice was I get to overnight in a 5 star local hotel~
With that, I get 2 days of well deserved off; actually I thought another friend and I deserved more LOL.

2) Living pretty much like an otaku.
Heh… Thought I already did? Well actually yes. Not much change about my lifestyle. I still watch anime a lot. But I started buying moar figurines.
Deadly and extremely poisonous hobby. And yea NPNT. Let’ go through some pics in chronological order.

Tamaki Kousaka Temptation Ver, My 1st scaled figurine. 1/7 in scale. The day I bought her; the feeling was indescribable. Extremely poisonous feeling. 87 bucks.

Saber Figma~ This is a real steal. Got it from someone online for 28 bucks for such a rare and hard to find figurine! Very posable. GREAT STUFF!

Alice; A super cute figurine that I bought on impulse. Without regrets though! $30.

1/5 Yoko from Gift. She really mesmerised me the moment I see it online.
Struggled long and real hard and finally gave in to preordering it. $137

Nagi Nendoroid. The cute girl with blue hair~ (Guest star; Shana Nendo and Kagami Figma)
Forgot to do a proper photoshoot of her. Will do soon. She’s really super cute but very very pricey for such figurines.  54 bucks

Haruhi Gekisou Version. She’s a SERIOUS beauty.
1/8 in scale but the level of details is the highest that I have with me. (Not that I have many figurines but this is like WAH) Got it at 110 bucks.

So let’s go through some anime I’ve watched.

Macross Frontier. There’s 2 things I love about this anime. One is the background art; absolutely stunning work. Skies are so beautifully drawn! Certainly one of the best out there.
Next is RANKA LEE! She’s SOOOOOOO CUTE. She just appeals to me DAMN A LOT. Content wise… Most fights are epic, but the story didnt have the oh-I-so-want-to-watch-the-next-episode feel. The last episode was kinda bland with quite a cheesy ending. Ah… One thing I forgot to mention is the splendid OST! May’N is WIN. Diamond Crevasse is made of IMPACT.

Bamboo Blade! Wah… Great stuff. I started watching like for 4 episodes long long time ago and it was in chinese subs. I was lazy so I put on hold UNTIL ALMOST FOREVER.
Recently I dug out my animes and decided that I should watch this since so many people recommended it. This anime will get you hook on slowly. Characters are nicely carved out and the comedy is just LOL at times. I love Tamaki! She is so Moe! ATOMIC FIRE BLADE!

Still watching many ongoing animes but let’s just leave to next time.

alright, army stuff aside
let’s talk a lil about wad i was doing

1) 1.5 months spent in takahan’s studio doing anime drawings and background.
i can totally feel myself improving alot. in terms of workflow, completeness of work
1.5 months ago i dunno how to draw background at all. now i’ve accomplished 10-15 pieces.
all looking pretty nicely done IMO.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

a mystery-murder story which involve cute little girls killing each other
overall i enjoyed it quite alot

but i must say u must be patient to last thru season 1 as sometimes u seriously just wanna say
wtf is going on?

season 2 reveals anything u wanna know and the actual story opens up.

alright.. and hence i continued watching several ongoing anime like clannad after story, toradora, soul eater

and then, my 2nd sis finally gotten married to her husband after 11 yrs of long running relationship
it’s pretty amazing if u look at the society now. such relationship is rarer than striking lottery i guess.
both’s each other’s 1st love. sweet eh?
i did the wedding montage for them, kinda hurried and rush cos of my work though.
the wedding is a little chaotic, i didnt get to sit with my sis also. sat with a bunch of mum’s china friends.
and i tell you, they attack the food with no reservation so it’s stressful LOL

next, i bought 4 lucky star figurines
posable figurines called figma to be exact
words are useless without pics

cute eh…. of course. they’re my darlings.

nostalgia

filled the room.

first of all, i was playing a visual novel. yes, it’s a hentai game but stop. the story is really quite nice but depressing however. and so after playing i turned on one of the soundtracks from the game. a music box version of one of the themes, which had a very soft and seemingly sad tune.

my winamp is on repeat mode so the bgm just looped and looped while i had to clean up my room cos uncle’s gonna pick up all the unwanted stuff tml for garang guni.

as i was tidying things up i saw many things.
red cross beret covered with dust.
one whole box of sketchbooks i’ve done all the way till now.
photo album from since i was a baby
some photos from red cross last time
some design fundamental assignment (oh well i threw them away)
a empty diary (titled as DAIRY, handwritten by me eons ago)
a box of fingerboards (some really expensive skateboard looking toys which u use ur finger to play with instead, pretty cool actually)
old army letters i received from last yr to this yr
a whole bunch of red cross notes which i treasured in the past (dumped still)

as i saw these stuffs the slightly sad bgm was looping over and over again.
cant help to feel slightly sad as well. especially memories like red cross. how enthusiastic i was
how full of drive i was. but all these just seem to zoom past and slipping off me pretty damn effortlessly.

sec sch wasnt much for me. all i could prolly remember is my chemistry teacher, muslim rice stall, and red cross. the rest was more on sganime. all the usual drawing outings and how i improved over the years.

poly life pretty much zoomed past me too. and it actually feels like i’ve gone back to square one.
why? i’m finding my way back to drawing anime. not a bad thing, actually it makes me feel like i know myself again. just a little discouraged that despite putting effort, my deviantart gallery still feels very neglected. that’s not gonna stop me from drawing more anyway.

typed pretty damn alot of words for now. last part is dedicated to the photo album. i was looking thru it. 2 things struck me.
1st was a photo where the aunt who’s currently living in my home was carrying me as a baby. it kinda made me felt a little bad for how i’m treating her now. (oh well sometimes i think she deserves it for being such a parasite to this house and my mum.)
2nd was quite a few photos of my mum carrying me and smiling really sweetly. that brought a warm smile on me. and i feel glad that i’m on very good terms with my mum.

k it’s time to do a breakthru, almost 500 words!
few anime i’ve watched/been watching recently
shakugan no shana – great anime with very interesting and complex concept. looking forward to season 3
detroit metal city – this is HARDCORE humor. the epicness can rival gurren lagann (not the same way of course)
nanatsuiro drops – pretty lame looking but super cute anime. as reviews have mentioned, the main girl looks seriously very moe.
toradora – only 1st ep out, voice by the same actress as shana. very interesting character designs, in terms of their personality. very good humor. palmtop tiger ftw!
clannad after story – only 1st ep out too, feels pretty different from the 1st season. the 1st ep was quite captivating compared to the whole of 1st season. very good start.
nogizaka haruka no himitsu – hmmm… not very motivated to watch on but i’ve downloaded all the eps. ep 1 seem like a normal romance story to me. i may be biased. will put it on low priority.
kohime munsou – looks like some ancient china settings with heroines trying to correct the corrupted world. didnt really feel motivated to watch on either. but well i’ve got all the eps for this too.

yes i’ve said a whole chunk of crap that i doubt people will understand. simply put it this way.
WATCH DMC CMON. if you’re bored or feeling depressed, watch detroit metal city and u will not look life the same away as it is again.

alright, i believe this has got to be the longest post i’ve ever written.
before i finish, saf says my pes status will come in within 2 weeks time. I HOPE i can TRUST them.

albums that are easy to listen to

to me, one of the most important criteria about albums is that they are really easy to listen.
meaning you feel very comfy listening to the album on the whole.

honestly not many albums have succeeded on that i feel.
some songs feels totally out of place and sounds like filler for the albums
if not the singer’s voice dun have the magic or the tune wont make you sing along with it.

so introing few albums i feel it’s very comfy on ears.

and so i went to causeway point to see 盧廣仲’s performance. fun and funny one. very interesting indeed.
and hey i bought his album. (claire’s still my fav fav fav fav though no matter wat)
and yes i got his autograph as well! 
AND let me tell you. his dressing sense is not to be mocked off, IT’S STYLE. it’s attitude. not caring about what people say and be comfortable with urself. IT’S COOL

update

1) thanks for all the good wishes by friends for medical check up. results shows i’m fine. just perhaps inflammation on the kidney. i still have to be careful though.

2) i still haven get my pes status which is like wtfbbqomgzzzzzzzz. i got a bad feeling that i’ll be only enlisted by next yr.

3) soul eater rocks! very funny yet nice shounen anime! good animation good humor good fighting interesting plot. i love maka! highly recommended.

4) i’ve completed claire’s fanart! been wondering if i should like post in her official forum now or wait till she comes to sg again (which is like god knows when) there isnt a day which i dun listen to her songs~~~ claire rocks!

5) oh yes! lis. didnt u say u wanna learn this song but no translation?
HERE IT IS! from this forum beware of the wall of lyrics though… i’m sure u’ll realised the english feels forced as it pretty much translates from the original lyrics closely. take note that structures of chinese and english are greatly different

郭靜 – 麻雀

this song is very subtle, actually at the start almost too subtle for me to notice.
but as i listen to this again these few days and watched the mtv, i like this song quite a lot.
it somehow feels different from the usual sad song
it really gives u a very peacefully blue feeling. so blue and peaceful that at one moment i almost feel like tearing. yes no joke. it’s about being lost and the desire to escape from all these.
with this song i’m really impressed with lin yu zhong’s composing/writing skill.

郭静- Leave

this song is also another one which i really like. to me this song gives me the feeling of helplessness and wanting to let go of all the pain. the mtv, i think it’s really nice, i cant really put my words to it but does bring the song out really well. and i think the parts at the chorus where claire sings with the band looks really cool.

bleh who cares anyone reads my blog anyway.
